Roman Blind Course - 2 Day

Service Description

This is a 2 day course where you will earn how to make gorgeous Roman blinds for your home. During the 2 days you will learn how to sew and construct a simple Roman blind, from how to measure up your windows and choose your equipment to how to hang and cord the blind at home. We also discuss child safety and how to ensure that your blinds are made up with child safe components. You will learn a variety of hand stitches and sewing techniques. You will also learn how to pattern match and join fabric plus pattern placement techniques. We'll discuss various linings and interlinings that can be used in constructed Roman blinds. The completed blind sample will have no visible stitches on the front of the blind. You will make a sample size blind which will enable you with the skills to go home and create this attractive window treatment for your home. Fabrics, materials, blind making kit (including child safety Roman blind cassette track, course notes are all included in the cost of this course. All equipment, fabrics and sewing machines are provided. IMPORTANT - This course is for those with some machine sewing experience. We do offer a beginners sewing machine workshop, which you can book prior to this course, which will give you enough skillset to attend this class. Cost includes refreshments and a lovely slice of homemade cake, feel free to bring a packed lunch otherwise Horsell village has some lovely cafe's that offer lovely lunches. To cancel your booking, please give at least 7 days notice, refunds will not be given when cancellations are received with less than 7 days notice. We do offer the opportunity to book on to another class date subject to availability.
